MINI HULK....................
Tonight Ashtyn put to use one of Kai's many forgotten toys...The Incredible hulk hands! She is dangerous without these things, but with them, its everyone for themselves. Anyone who has met our Ashtyn already knows she has got personality plus! After putting on the hands, she turned into a monster. She was growling and punching Tyson over and over. She couldn't get enough. She posed for a few funny photos of herself in these obnoxious toys and I had to post them. We love our little girl, we love her strong will and outgoing personality. Enjoy the pics:)

Another Kai~ism
Kai's grandma left me a funny email with another great Kai`ism.....
Kai: "Grandma, How come Papa's can have gray hair and Grandma's have to paint theirs???"
Kai: "Grandma, How come Papa's can have gray hair and Grandma's have to paint theirs???"
2 down..... 15 more to go!!
Hey everyone! I am finally in my final week of my first two college courses. It really has been good for me and I am grateful for all of your support and I hope I don't complain too much.:) I have finally got the hang of this distance learning program, I think.
Kai is almost finished with Kindergarten and he'll be going into FIRST GRADE! I cannot believe it! Spring Break is also coming up and he is spending it with his dad and grandma in SLC.
Ashtyn is a handful, but sooo much fun, I love this age with her, she is learning so many new things. Tyson has been very sick this week with Bronchitis and we hope he will get feeling better soon. I am so ready for Spring and Summer to be here!!

I went Private
So you all know, I went private, I changed it temporarily to inform everyone so if there is anyone that wants me to add them, just leave your email address below. When I switch it back to private it will prompt you to sign in with your email address and password (for your email address) and it will be only the one time you need to sign in. There was some confusion and some people thought I didn't invite them, I just wanted to quickly explain and then I will turn this back to private on Monday. Thanks!!

The not so Itsy-bitsy spider......

Today something happened to my baby girl that I have always dreaded, well at least since watching Arachniphobia years ago. I was in a hurry to get Kai to the school bus on time and was looking for Ashtyn's shoes. We couldn't find the matching shoe to her sandal so, Kai grabbed her pair of high-top sneakers to quickly put on her. She wasn't wearing socks but, since were were in such a rush, I put them on her feet and laced them up. As we were starting to walk out the door, she was saying, "Mommy, hurt, hurt." So I took her shoe off as fast as I could and this GIANT wolf spider came crawling out of her shoe! Kai and I started screaming because we hate spiders and it was so gross. I could not believe this huge thing had gone unnoticed and that we actually laced it up without knowing it was in there. Ashtyn was cool as a cucumber and I smashed that ugly thing about 10 times. All she did was hurry and put socks on and she was fine, I, on the other hand, was still shaken as we rushed to the bus stop. I have the bravest little girl on the planet. We did make the bus on time.:)
Big Love= Big Problems
Up until this last Sunday, I would watch Big Love because I though it was an interesting show and I didn't feel like it disrespected the LDS religion like people thought it did, up until this last episode. I posted on my Face book that I was watching Big Love as my status and a family member got extremely upset with me and posted in my wall that I was disrespecting her and all she stood for. I was totally shocked, I had not meant anything by the post, just what I was doing at the moment. I had not even watched the full episode yet with the endowment ceremony. I forgotten I had the status there still after I watched it and when I got this comment, I immediately took it down. I really did not mean to offend anyone by it. I will say that I was deeply offended by the episode because although I am not active, I am a member of the LDS church and throughout my experience I know that this ceremony is sacred to everyone in the church, you do not ask about it because it is something temple-worthy mormons get to experience. I did cancel my HBO subscription after the show aired. I apologize if the face book offended anyone, it was not my intention at all. I do think the makers of the show need to apologize and I think the ex mormon that gave them all the information should feel very ashamed of themselves! Please feel free to comment about your feelings regarding this subject.

Ashtyn's quirk
Do you all see the green thing on Ashtyn's finger in the picture above?? This little toy has become a permanent part of Ashtyn's body. SHE WILL NOT REMOVE IT!! She has been wearing it for weeks now and I try to take it off of her, but there is NO WAY. She will scream bloody murder and her poor little finger is all soggy. Its almost like it physically hurts her to take it off. I have never seen this or heard of this before and I am at a loss. She actually lost it for a day and in its place had to have us put a band aid where the toy had been. I was hoping she would never find it, but she woke up from her nap one day and there it was in all its glory. It was funny at first, but now she has grown attached to it and I do not know how to get rid of it without her having a grand mall fit. Any suggestions??

Climbing the walls!
I am in my 7th week of school now and the time has just flown by. Well, kind of. I have been so engrossed in my schooling that I literally spend hours on the computer every day. I take 2 classes at a time every 9 weeks and right now I am taking Skills for learning in an information age and Contemporary Business Communication, I have good grades but the hard part will to retain these grades for the last 2 1/2 weeks of class. Wish me luck:)
We are going to be visiting our family at the end of the month and my best friend if flying here April 8th and I am so looking forward to seeing everyone. We have not been to SLC since July and I miss the scenery, mostly the beautiful mountains. Here there is NO scenery (unless you count the strip) I will get a good "spring break" then its back to the books, or computer I mean. I am not sure how long it will be before we can visit again because I want to get my degree as soon as I can and get a job with the state in social work.
We want to visit everyone we can when we come in a few weeks and hopefully we will not forget anyone:)
I posted a few pics of the kids, we try to get outside since the weather is gorgeous here and its the only thing that keeps me from climbing the walls here. (See, its not just a clever name) Sorry about the boring post guys, hopefully next time I will have something interesting to blog about:)
Thanks Rochelle!!
Recently, my fabulous cousin Rochelle sent Kai a home made cape. One side is Batman and the other side is Superman. This cape is the coolest thing ever in a 6-year-old boy's world and I just wanted to tell my cousin THANK YOU!! She is so creative and I wish I had this talent. Kai loves this gift you made him THANKS AGAIN, WE LOVE YOU!!

Habanero's Anyone??

This weekend, I was invited to a big Fiesta themed dinner with my good friends Molly and Jason. I LOVE Mexican food, so I was more than willing to go. When we arrived everything was decorated so great and the food smelled sooo delicious. Everyone sat at a table and after we all ate fajitas, there were a few games to be played.
The first one was a pepper eating contest. I am really not a big fan of peppers, but the prize was an awesome golf package. I do not golf, but a friend of mine that was there does. So we decided that we'd both do the contest, that way he had a better chance of winning. I was the only woman that volunteered, there were 5 other men that were obviously golf fans.
They brought out this table with 5 different kinds of peppers and how many tickets they were worth. There was Jalepenos, yellow peppers, red peppers and these small ones called Habanero peppers. THOSE were worth 10 tickets while the rest were only worth 1, 2 or 3. Melissa, the host (Wonderful job Melissa BTW) said ladies first. So, I thought I would be super cool and go right for the Habanero. I chewed it up like a pro and swallowed it. Now, the rule is, if you drink the milk, you can't compete anymore. So, I guess the men felt like they had to eat one too since the girl ate one.
At this point, tears are streaming down my face, my mouth feels like it is swollen. The only thing I could think of was to start eating the yellow peppers just to have something take the heat away. I ate 6 yellow peppers and I could NOT take it anymore. I begged for the milk. I thought whomever ended up with the most tickets would win. I was wrong. The tickets went into a bowl and Melissa drew a ticket, whoever had the matching number won. I did not win, but I did not care because I was in sooo much pain. My stomach was burning I had drank almost a gallon of milk by now and somebody offered me their half eaten ice cream, which I couldn't have cared less that it was eaten from, I grabbed it and started easting it like crazy. It was so funny and I know they took pictures. I haven't gotten the pics yet, but I will post them once I do. I just had to share this story, it was a good lesson for me. :)

Kai~ism
Me: "Kai go get your backpack so you can finish your homework for school tomorrow. Then you need to clean your room."
Kai: "Mom, quit acting like your my wife."
I was laughing so hard! He is just too smart for his own good!:)
