Public vs. Private

So, as all of you know, I have gone back and forth with the decision to go public or private. I recently had made the decision to go private forever. I went into my account to add another email address so they could view my private blog, but it was very late and I guess I made my blog public again without meaning to.

I wanted to apologize to any of you that have had trouble getting into my blog. I am not sure if you have to sign in every time to view my blog or if it is annoying, please let me know.

There are a bunch of people I know that are making open blogs to let their loved ones know when they have new posts on their private blogs. I am going to do this as well because I think it is a fantastic idea and that way you don't have those "creepy blog stalkers" looking at pics of your kids and all.

Thanks for all of you and your patience with my back and forth antics, I will set this to private FOR GOOD as soon as I get my open blog up and running.

HERE IS THE LINK TO OUR OPEN BLOG... http://schraderopenblog.blogspot.com/
Adding this to your blog list, it will update so you know when to check the private blog! :)

Ashtyn's new scooter!!

We went to the park a week ago, and Ashtyn asked this little boy if she could play with his scooter. It was one of those Razor scooters and Ashtyn just rode it all around the park! It was so cute and I was impressed that she sis not even fall! Tyson and I decided that since Kai is gone for 7 more weeks :( that we would buy her a new scooter and we took her to WALMART and she chose this cute pink Barbie scooter, here are some pics of her riding around on this new beloved friend.....

Fathers..............

I have not seen my dad for over a year. He had a good friend coming here to Las Vegas for a tournament and got a ride with him to come and visit us. Kai was overjoyed to see him, he is a bit of a grandpa's boy (second to a mama's boy:)

My dad brought his wife, and although they only got a few hours together since Kai was flying out to SLC for 2 months to see his dad, they had a ball. Ashtyn absolutely LOVES my dad and calls him "Crappa" It is so cute and funny, she just adores him.... My dad also brought with him some of my Mother's scarves she use to wear after she lost all of her beautiful hair from Cancer, they are such pretty scarves, so I also took a few pics of them and me wearing one:)

Here are some of the cute things Kai said to me at the airport....
"Mom, I am going to miss you, NeNe, Ashtyn and PAPA so much, I will look at these pictures everyday and think of you, you will always be in my heart."

"Mom, I wish that Papa and me could be GLUED together so I could always see him."

Oh, these cute things melted my heart. I was so sad to see him go, but proud because I didn't cry until he walked down the terminal to get on the plane, then everyone, I am sure, in the airport thought I was a mess since I could not stop crying after that.

We celebrated Father's Day today since Tyson works tomorrow, I got him a movie and a new game (RockBand) for his PSP and we took him to his favorite restaurant for an early dinner. I wanted to make plans for tonight, but he said he wanted to play World of Warcraft (his addiction) for part of his present. Her are a few pics from today:)

Cucumbers Anyone???

There is a woman that lives a few houses down from me. She is so sweet, she is an older woman that was diagnosed with Stage 4 Brain Cancer just a couple months ago. My mother passed on from the same thing and she did not find out until she was at a Stage 4 as well.

I know that is a powerful first paragraph, I just wanted to briefly explain the reason I feel so close to her. She recently shaved her head because she is losing her hair from the radiation treatment, she came outside one evening while Tyson and I were playing with the kids outside and said, "Look Tyson, we are twins!" She is so cute and funny.

Anyway, her family just recently took her on a cruise to Alaska and were able to reserve the theater in the ship to put on a special show for her, I just thought that was AWESOME!

I know now I am rambling. Let me get to the point. She called me a few days before she was leaving for her cruise and asked me if I could water her vegetable garden everyday while she is on vacation. I was happy to do it, at the same time, I could not help but wonder how she is growing a vegetable garden in the desert!???

I posted some pics above of her amazing garden, she has the ULTIMATE green thumb. She also asked me to pick cucumbers from her garden everyday so that new ones could grow in. They were soooo delicious and look a little different than average cucumbers. Anyway, I thought this was a cool garden and wanted to post this!

MMA JUNKIE!!

The picture above is of my favorite fighter, Randy Couture.
I am sure I have posted something about my obsession with UFC fighting somewhere on this blog, if not, here it is.

I started watching UFC fighting a few years ago and quickly became addicted. I get so into the fights that I find myself yelling at my TV screen and getting upset when a fighter I like loses. I respect the training and talent that goes into this sport and I know there are many people who find this sport barbaric. The fighters know what they are getting themselves into when they sign up for this, but I do feel bad when someone gets totally beat up.

Anyway, we have ordered the fights here at our house for a long time, but $50 a month is a lot of money to spend on a 3 hour show! Then, an awesome guy from our ward, Lucas came up with an idea to get a group of people and rotate houses to watch the fight and everyone chip in $10. We each bring food and it saves us $40 a month!

Yesterday, the fights were on at noon and I felt sick, so Tyson took the kids and they had a blast while I sat at home pouting that I couldn't go:(
Anyway, I'll get over it:)

If anyone wants to come on board with us and join our "Fight Club" (lol) Just email me at mizkylie@gmail.com or leave a comment, we'd love for anyone who wants to join us, the more the merrier!:)

Kai's graduation

Kai is graduating from Kindergarten tomorrow! I cannot believe how big he is now~! It is so true what they say, they grow up way too fast!! Kai will be spending the majority of the summer with his dad in Salt Lake City and I will miss him terribly. I have not gone that long without seeing him! Ashtyn is going to have a hard time as well, she usually can't even get through a weekend without him. I am going to have to keep her very busy this summer, lots of trips to the YMCA, she loves that place. This is a bittersweet time for me, I am so proud of Kai though! I hope I can make it through the summer in one piece!
